Another amazing stay in the beautiful Puerto de Mogan. We requested the same apartment as last year, it wasn't available, but we were allocated the one next door! Loved listening to the sound of the waves from the huge roof terrace. Apartment was spotless, really spacious. We booked transfers, lovely driver waiting for us. On the way back the driver really saved our bacon. We were nearly at the airport when the office called to say the housekeeping had found our passports in the safe!!! ( I know) Drama ensued but the lovely driver got us back to Mogan and back to the airport on time for our flight. Can't thank him, Antonio in the office, or the lovely housekeeping staff who found them enough!

Our third visit in four years and still impressive every time. |Booked direct by email with La Venecia de Canarias and booked my own flights. The office arranged a private transfer for us, (cheaper than a taxi from the airport.)|The apartment (1 bed) was immaculate as well as being air conditioned which was a real treat given it was over 30 every day and we couldn’t fault a thing. |The cleaner (amazing lady) arrived every day and insisted on cleaning even though there was nothing to clean, towels changed every other day and linen was changed frequently too. |Tracey at the pool bar (Maria’s) is a star and made us feel very welcome. |Jez? At Billy’s restaurant equally looked after us really well every time we visited Billy’s, (especially one particular night after my partner tripped over) but to be fair all the staff are great and the food is great too. |The Irish Tavern is worth a visit for food but do book a table to avoid disappointment. ||The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that Puerto Mogan is used by UK travel companies TV add’s, there’s a reason for this, it’s a very pretty hidden gem on Gran Canaria, don’t believe me? Go and have a look for yourself!.

WHAT A FANTASTIC APARTMENT, EVERYTHING WE NEEDED, GREST LOCATION, FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN, ROOF TERRACE SPECTACULAR, LOCATION SECOND TO NONE, 1 MIN TO BEACH , RESTAURANTS, SHOPS. THERE WAS EVEN A LITTLE ROOM TO STORE CASES AND ALL THINGS NEEDED SUCH AS BRUSH, MOP ECTG IT WAS LITLE A LITTLE UTILITY ROOM. CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THESE FANTASTIC APARTMENTS, SHOUT OUT TO STAFF IN BILLYS ESPECIALLY THE GENTLEMAN WORKING THE EVENING SHIFT MR COOK , SUCH A NICE PERSON , GREAT TO SEE THE OWNER BILLY ALWAYS ON HAND AROUND THE PLACE CHATTING TO THE CUSTOMERS AND NOT AFRAID TO WORK WHEN NEED AROSE , WPOULD ONE HUNDRED PER CENT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS

Wonderful holiday in Puerto Mogan. We'd arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport (60 Euros) and the key was handed to us by the driver, as the office was closed when we reached the village (7.15pm). Lovely way to start our holiday as the driver of the Mercedes was charming and even offered to carry out cases to the apartment. Although holidaying independently, the staff in the office (3 mins walk away) were always on hand and very helpful, and arranged a local taxi to return us to the airport. |The well maintained apartment (no:41) is in the beautiful Marina area, with two bedrooms and two bath rooms, situated above a restaurant overlooking the marina (private entrance up steps). The location was outstanding, right in the heart of "Little Venice" with the most amazing views, yet so convenient for the shops and restaurants. There is maid service every day (except Sundays), bedding changed mid-week, clean towels regularly, the use of Maria's pool just up the road, and the most fantastic views. Traditionally furnished with a huge lounge, compact kitchen area, which has everything you need plus a breakfast bar, although we ate outside for all our meals. There is a small table on the balcony (off the lounge) which is suitable for two, but there is a huge roof terrace which gives you the choice of eating in the shade or overlooking the marina with ample sun loungers, chairs, umbrella and spectacular views. The air-con unit is in the lounge area, but there are fans for both bedrooms and we didn't find it a problem to keep cool and the Wi-Fi was excellent - we could FaceTime family back home without a problem. |The apartment gave us a perfect base where we could have a leisurely breakfast/lunch/drinks at night looking over the marina, the lighthouse and watch the boats coming in and out. Yet, close by there are numerous cafes and restaurants to suit every taste and I've left reviews on some we used. Highly recommended are Fragata II, Mar Azul and Carpe Diem - one tip, if you get fed up with chips/salad, ask for Canaria potatoes and vegetables instead. If you fancy a change of menu, we had an excellent Chinese meal at the Grand Shanghai (back from the front), but with table outside and delightful staff - there is a green area opposite where children from a nearby table played whilst parents could chat, yet keep a close eye on them. |The area of "Little Venice" is immaculate - staff are out sweeping up and watering at 7am, bins emptied regularly and you'll see all the properties are painted in keeping with the area and it's traffic free. Cross one of the bridges into the beach/park area and it's the same clean environment with lovely beach, clear water to paddle/swim, or enjoy some of the water sports on offer. You can even have a trip on a yellow submarine! Finally make sure you're there on a Friday as there is the most amazing market.

Lovely apartments in the heart of Mogan, we had room 291 which had a harbour view and massive roof terrace which we used every day. Staff at reception exceptional. Would recommend using their taxi service which was 60’euros each way, saves you getting the bus from the airport which can take over an hour. You also have use of Marina’s pool for free which is a lovely little gem too. Highly highly recommend and we will be back next year!

Spacious, clean, well maintained apartment .... not that modern but verrrrrrrrrrry homely with all the facilities you could need .... and with such friendly, kind and knowledgeable staff. We had a one bedroom apartment number 281 which was 'ground floor' but only 5 shallow steps to the front door so fine for my wife who has mobility issues, with plenty of room for her mobility scooter at ground level. The location is totally perfect being 30 seconds to the beautiful harbour front with so many good restaurants (especially The Irish Tavern and Carpe Diem). The pool that serves the accommodation is also excellent!!!|We will be back!!!!

What an amazing experience! From being met at the airport by a lovely driver in a beautiful Mercedes to our welcome at the office, everything was impeccable. The 2 bed 2 bathroom marina view apartment was huge, spotlessly clean and in an amazing location, 2 minutes from Maria's pool bar and restaurant and 3 minutes from the beach. We had a late breakfast/ early lunch most days at the pool bar. The service, food and drinks were excellent. There was never a problem getting a lounger, as there is a strict non reservation policy. If a lounger is unoccupied for more than 30 mins, the towel is removed. I don't know why more places don't do this. I'd return for this reason alone. The apartment was amazing, absolutely huge! Full kitchen, huge lounge, BBC, ITV and C4 on the TV which was great as the European Championships Athletics were on. The aircon was great, only in the lounge and kitchen but when you left the doors open, you didn't need the fans in the bedrooms. Housekeeping was excellent, really lovely ladies. I couldn't get over the size of our beautiful roof terrace which overlooked the marina. It was absolutely enormous, with 4 loungers and a table and chairs. I can't get over the value of this apartment (€130 per night in August)! Puerto de Mogan is beautiful, the perfect holiday destination for families or couples. The restaurants, beach and shops are lovely. We visited the apartment's owner's bar/restaurant and found it excellent. Can't wait to return!

What can I say...absolutely perfect! Stayed here for a month over Xmas and New Year and by the 2nd week we were referring to it as home! Everything was spot on and the sum of the parts was even greater than the whole. Rather than write a novel I'll do a list:-|* Size - one bedroom ground floor apartment generous in size.|*Terrace - private and overlooking a small garden equipped with table, 4 chairs, 2 sunloungers, parasol and large clothes drying rack.|*Bedroom - equipped with ceiling fan, 2 double wardrobes with plenty of hangers, bedside tables, bedside lights and sockets, safe deposit box (no charge) and wall mirror|*Bathroom - large, efficient walk in shower with shelves and tray.|*Lounge area - plenty of storage cupboards, ceiling fan, air-con, large sofa (bed), coffee tables, TV unit with large flatscreen TV with English channels, plenty of lighting options.|*Kitchen area - 4 ring electric hob with extractor hood, combo microwave/grill, fridge freezer, plenty of cookware and tableware, table with 4 chairs, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, washer, individual "personal" water heater so hot water never an issue, plenty of cupboard space.|*Other - "personal"wifi network with strong signal, cleaning 6 days a week with towel changes every other day (thank you Clotie).|*Location - couldn't be better with 2 supermarkets with a 3 minute walk and a large Spar 5 minutes away, 50 metres to bars and restaurants, 25 metres to main street with market on Fridays, some free and some pay parking available on main street, 25 metres to taxi rand.|*Reception - absolutely fantastic and couldn't be more helpful and friendly...nothing was too much trouble. Special shout out to Antonio for all he did for us, and Adrian was great as well. Gave us 2 door keys without having to ask. Office hours 9am-6pm but emergency out of hours phone number given.|Now that I have extolled the virtues I have to mention one negative - the perspective of one of the pictures on the lounge wall was all wrong! Seriously - that's the only negative.|We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for next Xmas/New Year and are already looking forward to it...thanks La Venecia - great job!|Y hasta la vista!
