Worst place I’ve been to for as long as I can remember. Very warm in the apartments, no fans or AC. Infested with pharaoh ants, found my bed infested with them one evening and the reception couldn’t do anything, not even provide me with clean sheets for the bed after I threw them with the ants onto the balcony. Me and my husband had to sleep on the sofa through the night and talk to management the day after. Horrible

Apartments in great location with beautiful views.

Location: Close walk to Anfi beach, the Aguamarina bus stop, and shops/restaurants. We used the bus to go to the Palmitos Zoo and Playa de Mogan. (The bus is often delayed, though.) The restaurants in the area are okay, not great. The best we tried was 222 Bar and Grill at the Radisson.

Hotel: There are many stair cases at this hotel, which can be difficult for people with walkers or strollers. The complex looks nice but is getting older. The signage is confusing: there are signs for “Montemarina”, “Aquamarina”, “Aquamar”, and the bus stop is “Aguamarina”. The reception was helpful.

Rooms: Our apartment had a well-stocked kitchen, ample towels, washing machine, and basic toiletries. The layout was good; we loved eating breakfast on the balcony and overlooking the water. The balconies (in the room and around the complex) are absolutely not to any Western safety code, though. I had a mini heart attack any time my child got too close to the railing. Our room on the 13th floor had a sliding window that was cool, yes, but had no barrier expect for a flower bed.

Pool: We exclusively used the warm round pool accessed through the Aquamarina lobby. The water was warm enough for swimming (in January) but would be too cold for standing still. The kids didn’t seem to mind, though. There were mostly older people lounging or swimming laps. A few families with young kids, but overall quiet. There is a nice view, since the pool is on the 10th floor or so. There were toilets down a set of stairs next to the pool.

Food: The Palm Bar is difficult to find, but it’s on the far end of the complex (towards Anfi). It is accessed through a gate, so I assume it is only guests of Aquamarina that eat there. They take only cash, but the prices are good (£8.70 for a burger and fries). The food is good for the price. Nice views too. There is a convenience store with food by the pool and Aquarela restaurant.

Overall a nice stay. Can recommend for couples and families with older kids, as there is no playground or accommodation for small children.

Beautifully kept apartments. Perfect location close to the beach and on a number of bus routes. Wonderful amenities inc beauticians, boutique, grocery shop and three restaurants without having to leave the complex. Very friendly and helpful staff.
