G Farms provides excellent service. They made the process very easy. I was well informed about how my beef was going to be handled, when it would be delivered and what to do once o received my beef. It was delivered straight to my freezer and I was provided resources on how best to cook my beef. The hamburger meat and steaks taste wonderful. Will buy again and recommend.

We have purchased from G Farms twice now and we’re coming up soon on our 3rd order. We love the quality of the beef and the customer service is also top tier! Our first order was a smaller batch of ground beef. (Can’t remember now how many pounds the order came with) I believe our 2nd order was 1/8th. When we order for our 3rd time it will likely be a 1/2. Possibly a 1/4. We are a family of 4 with two adults, one teen and one under 10. We eat beef daily though and the 1/8 just wasn’t enough for us to have on hand for as long as I like. We’ve really enjoyed all of the steaks. The filets were perfection. I do wish they still offered their ground beef package, but I no longer see it on their website.

G Farms is amazing!
Great selection of meats/cuts to choose from. Their customer service is remarkable with a great knowledge of what they offer. Even better, I had the pleasure of meeting Willie in person on the order I just received today. Salt of the earth guy with a great family business I am proud to support. You Need to get on the G Farms train!!

Now I just need to get a hold of some liver, tongue, ox tail, and bone packs!!

Update: tried one last roast (11/17/2023) - and after 5.5 hours, the meat was not fall of the bone, rubbery and would not budge- the only think left to do is throw out $800 worth of meat - so disappointing!

After a lot of thought we have decided to give G Farms 3 stars. We have prepared enough of our meat to get a solid idea of how it is and will continue to be.

First observation is (after manually weighing all the meat) the following.

32 #’s ground
12.24 #’s steak
19.52 #’s roast
2.55 #’s ribs

18.78 #’s misc ribs/steak/roast

85.09 #’s total. - after reaching out to several meat producers (some of which we used in the past) - the average should be closer to 142 #’s yielded after processing.

We paid $805 for this quarter which came out to $9.46/pound of yielded meat. I just don’t think that’s a good deal !

On to the quality. After eating all the ground beef - we consistently had gristle & bone in the ground - never had this before so I’m really at a loss for why it was in so much of our ground.

I was told after purchase that the meat was closer to 90/10 on the consistency and I’ll be honest, not a fan (I prefer 80/20). Across all of the meat it tended to be dry, tough to eat, and many times we just threw away what we prepared for dinner.

For many, the white glove service would be welcome but I can’t help but wonder if it’s not done so customers won’t question the lower quantity of meat received - after all, who is going to go dig through thru freezer to check?

G Farms employees / owners are nice people and this review in no way reflects anything other than a kind experience - but ultimately they are providing a service and product that I simply didn’t care for. We buy meat on a regular basis and I’ve never had this many issues from any other product in recent years.

We prepared the meat as instructed & came to the same conclusion -

The best tasting meat I've ever had in my life, grass fed is truly a huge difference maker, I absolutely love it. The owner and company are incredible people and deliver the meat to your house and will even stack it in your freezer to save you the hassle. I'll never buy beef any other way. Thank you G Farms, you guys are amazing.

I just received my first grass-fed quarter and started with a rib-eye. Best steak I've ever had. Can't wait to savor the rest of the cuts. Willie provides great advice for how to prepare them all. If you're looking for "local" and excellent, G Farms is it.
