0 stars if possible. I know everyone's experience is different, but based on mine. Never take anything sapphire or gemstone related here for an "expert" opinion. Good on Trisha for being GIA certified. But she should treat people with more respect. Should not have expected any less, though, as this is a pawn shop. Wasn't willing to give an appraisal on anything because she wasn't interested in them. I didn't bring them to sell to you. I have been collecting for 2 years. Don't tell me I'm putting the cart before the horse, and I need customers first. I had other people who are certified by CJA actually look at the stones who base their standards off GIAs and they were way more respectful, and told me I should take them to someone GIA certified to get the most value for my collection. Well, I'll take my stones to someone willing to give their time and effort to helping me. Off to Toronto for me, it looks like. AVOID this place if you're actually looking for help and not looking to get low balled. Literally looks at it with a 10x loupe for 10secs and tells me, "Not that valuable to me." My question is, why don't you have equipment on site for stuff like this? Why do you have to keep my stones and send them to GIA? You shouldn't be giving customers opinions. You should be giving them actual clarity. I'll send my stones to India before I would GNG.

Visited in from Detroit a few weeks ago. Came here to check out the coins and was helped by Adrian! He helped us find coins that we wanted to purchase and left with a lot! Also noticed the walls with all the second hand jewelry being sold at quite cheap prices! We will surely be back soon.

Jerry and his son and employees always offer me a comfortable shopping experience, the only downside is the parking, only 5 minutes in front of the store so please park on Ouellette it's your best option to take your time and look at all the treasures in there. I always enjoy my visit with Jerry.

I was amazed at the professionalism, service, friendliness, quality of work, and reasonableness of price of G&G. After investigating a number of online and in-person jewellers (in Canada and the US) for an engagement ring, G&G came out as clearly the best option for the quality and price: the diamond they had for me was better quality than that offered by other jewellers, at a better price (and the diamond is Canadian and even the ring is made entirely in Canada)! I was not expecting to get a product of such quality at my budget point. Trisha was enormously helpful and guided me through the process of making various specifications on the project and understanding every step. My now fiancee absolutely loves her ring, as does everyone else who sees it—nothing but compliments! We went for a simple, elegant, and classic style. I cannot recommend G&G enough!

UPDATE: A year after my first review (see below) it is 5 stars again for a made to order engagement ring (for my wife for our 40th anniversary - the first ring having met its end). Fully happy with the craftsmanship and the sales staff.

Two vintage rings of priceless personal value were repaired with care. One ring over 100 years old. The colour match to the old gold is spot on. The cleaning and sizing to the other ring is perfect. The service was astoundingly prompt.

So very pleased to find such excellent service in the city's core.

I am absolutely happy with the professional services here at G&G Jewelry. I custom made a moonstone pendant for myself and a wedding band for my fiancé. Both items are gorgeous and in high quality. Trish assisted me from beginning till the end, it was such a pleasant experience. Definitely recommended!
