Owner was so friendly and our room was clean and adorable!! Our only issue wasn't with the cabin at all. Around 10:30pm, someone went around knocking on the cabin windows. It scared my two young kids to the point where they couldn't sleep in their room and ended up sleeping on the bed and pull out bed next to our room ? other than that, I'd stay here again!

First of all, a HUGE Thank you to the manager, Jackie!!!!
Jackie was everywhere ... check in and check out, making reservations, cleaning every room, doing yard work, taking time to visit with us and answer questions ... and on and on.
And she did it all with a big smile and a gracious heart.
I have no idea what the owners pay her but she needs an increase in salary. I know few folks who "wear so many hats" running a lodge that is maxed out with occupancy.
The cabins - clean and inviting you to come in.
The bedding - warm and easy to fall asleep and be comfortable,
The kitchen - well equipped and clean,
The bathroom - clean and well stocked.

Wanting to spend a few days exploring around Lake City and the Alpine Loop, we stayed at G&M Cabins, and it was better than expected. These are privately owned cabins, all different on the inside. Ours was very nice (cabin #3) and kept extremely clean. And the kitchen fully usable. Bed comfortable. Really nice art on the walls, too (obviously the preference of this particular owner). My wife and I would stay here again. ||This is located in the middle of town. There is no view, really, but shops and a good restaurant (Packer’s Saloon) is within a block. This was a perfect place to explore from, and return to at the end of the day. The best part, after all, are the mountains around Lake City.

We had an amazing stay, location was superb and the cabin was so nice and spotless! Check in and out was spot on, we will be back, thanks for a great memorial weekend! We stayed in #11 with two of our younger kiddos and they really had fun in the loft!

Clean cabins that are nicely maintained. We enjoyed our stay in Cabin #1. Two bedrooms and a kitchenette. Owner/operator was friendly and we also enjoyed the resident cats. While they offer Direct TV, it didn’t really have many stations. That said, just spend time outdoors!

Great place to stay, the lady who runs it is amazing. The beds are comfortable, cabins are spacious and they were in the perfect location for us going to the alpine loop.

Great place to stay! My cabin was clean and amazingly decorated to make me feel like it was mine. The grounds were kept up with green grass, outdoor seating, grills, and occasional visits by deer in the late afternoons. The cabin was within walking distance of several restaurants, gift shops, the museum, and town park. A Great place to get away from it all. I stayed five nights and liked it so well I wanted to stay a sixth. Jacqui, the manager was able to work it out where I could stay the additional night without having to move my things. I will definitely stay there again!
UPDATE - I came back in July 2019 and stayed seven days in the same cabin. Everything was great and I had a wonderful time exploring the area scenery. Jacqui was a great host and runs a great operation there.
UPDATE - I returned to stay in the same cabin July 2020. Great time as always. I explored more of the area around Lake City and seen things I never saw before thanks to a book I read in the cabin.
