My girlfriend and I rented an apartment they managed. After 4 years, the rent was up 40%.

We moved out. The verity representative lady told us after we cleaned, that we would get back out security deposit.

My girl friend is a neat-freak. Clean. Clean. Clean. That apartment was waaaaaaay cleaner than when we moved in.

We weren’t worried at all about getting our deposit back. I worked in a fiberglass factory making showers and tubs. I had the gel-coat solvent from work. It takes off everything except gel-coat. Gel-coat is the finish on fiberglass tubs and showers. I personally scrubbed the bathtub until it was like new. I know what new is. The whole apartment was immaculate . Blinds, sills, counters, and carpet professionally cleaned , all clean.

We turned in our keys. we explained to the lady manager that we still had our boxes of cleaning bottles and bar-b-que tools on the porch, and a box of clothing inside at the front door. “No worries, I’ll be here later, until 7:00 , I can unlock and let you get those items.” I went back that evening to get the remaining boxes . I also was going to take photos.

The apartment was Locked. I went to the manager’s office. No one. Phoned. No answer. I went back to the apartment and took photos of the inside through the windows. She had put all boxes from inside on the back porch with the cleaning stuff. It was getting dark so I went home .

The next day at lunch , i went back. There was a construction crew there. I went in to look around. They had already torn out all the carpet and the kitchen and bath flooring.

We got a bill that was $870 more than our deposit. The letter told us there would be no referral to a collection Agency unless we disputed the charges. The list of charges included wear and tear of the flooring and bathroom fixtures they claimed that we left filthy that had to be cleaned. The letter stated that we would not be getting our security deposit back.

I have the photos.

They lied to us and stole our money.

This place is pretty good how ever well in Boise it is currently very difficult to find a place and housing is very limited also people will be price gouging you because it is so limited make sure to search around in many different markets like Meridian or Boise city also make sure that the neighborhood you live in is not a latd with Check with police reports& police reports news and/or drive around local bus tops to see the indigenous personnel which you might not be too happy with due to resettlement issues to Boise under the Obama administration. Boise is fast becoming a new hotspot re location if you need work come to Boise but there are many jobs in the surrounding areas and don't live in Caldwell however if you choose to live in Boise make sure to find multiple property managements and put in many applications it is very difficult to find anything here expressione in the Spring and summer if you're thinking about going to college here and want to party or have fun Boise is ranked by Yelp the most boring city in America with its population the state of Idaho is ranked incredibly boring also with Google Boise is ranked when a most boring cities in America there are many reasons to come to Idaho like moral people good christians lots of LDS however people just like to drink beer and sit around here this is the antithesis of a city that has no pulse try and relocate somewhere else unless you have to come here for work #BoiseIsSoBoringMissColorado

This this is for after my move out. They couldn't rent my apartment out due to the sub floor being damaged. It was damaged before I moved in. I submitted a maintenance request within the first week and they said they couldn't fix it since I was in the unit.

I broke my lease to move. I get a bill for over 6,000 dollars for the rest of the rent and minor maintenance like cleaning and paint.

I emailed them and let them know that they refused to fix it while I was living there. I also addressed the cleaning fee for four hours when I left that place spotless, have the video to prove it. The only thing I forgot to clean was the oven which I didn't use to often. They agreed to not charge me past the month I moved out. They didn't answer me about the paint and the cleaning fee for four hours.

I sent an email to them about that and they did not respond. Its been about five months with no response. I called them, they refused to let me know if I have a bill or if my deposit took care of it. I was told someone would email me and a month later nothing.

I'm still waiting.

We haven’t lived in a neighborhood with a HOA for over 32 years. We didn’t enjoy it then but we find ourselves back with another HOA.
So far we have had limited opportunity to deal with the management company, but with the 2 times we have, it has been very good. I left a message once (and they returned my call) and the second time we called they were able to answer my call and questions.
I can personally say they were professional, informative, helpful and pleasant.
So far it’s been a pleasant experience, time will tell.

Awful place of business. Kristin park apartments have a cockroach infestation and nothing is being done about it. Everything is in poor working condition and very poorly maintained. They paint over dirt, and hard water stains in the tub and wherever else they can slap paint.There is always something broken and not working. Not a good place to rent from or deal with Angelina and Chris Duvall are both horrible to deal with.

This was my first time living and renting alone (Glenbrook apartments)great location as far as being located next to things. I stayed for 2 years and don't have any major complaints to report. They ended up putting in new cabinets during my first year so they look more modern now even. Insulation wasn't the greatest but I just got a little heater that did the trick. The things you have read about them communicating through email only after you move out is true, but I didn't find it an issues with it at all, they run multiple locations give em' a break. Chris DuVall who was the manager at my apartment complex was very nice, ALWAYS professional, and you could tell he cared. The grounds themselves always taken care of with good grass, basketball court, and even a pool. There was lots of tenants with kids so there always seemed to be a good family atmosphere. If I wasn't at a new/different chapter of my life I would still be living there.

The worst property management in the valley. The only time you can ever expect to be helped is with a BBB complaint.

I had reported an issue regarding the broken AC that was causing water damage to the ceiling. Upon reporting the issue two third parties were sent out, one to fix the AC the other for the drywall. The drywall company while looking at the damage noticed some additional spots showing signs of water.

Soon what started as an AC issue became much more as there ended up being two leaks from the upstairs causing long term and the walls being torn out in both the kitchen and bathroom in order to get a dehumidifier in to dry the damages. It took over a week of having a crowded kitchen and bathroom you could hardly squeeze into or use due to the equipment. In the meantime for the leaking AC, the specialist had right off the bat advised me that the best bet for the AC would be to get a new one. That is what eventually happened however not before the specialist was asked to try fixing it as cheaply as possible first with tape then with glue, neither of which lasted long and just rather postponed the inevitable replacement for weeks in the middle of summer. Please see the attached photos.

Upon finally getting the AC fixed and the leaks stopped, I was advised that it would no longer be the third party finishing the dry wall and painting and that Verity would finish the work. This took just under 3 months and would have take even longer had I not taken further action. I had called our manager Angelina several times and left messages never receiving a callback until I finally went above her and contacted corporate asking what could be done regarding the repairs (with the wall not finished there wasn’t even a mirror in my bathroom to get ready all this time) as well as if anything could be done compensation wise as I had to take the higher power bill with the massive equipment not only taking up half the kitchen but raising the power bill.

I didn’t receive any response regarding compensation however the next day I finally did hear back from Angelina stating “coincidentally” she was actually already working on someone being out there Monday to finish the repairs. The repairs were finished however between this and prior events as well as the heating never working since(still wouldn’t work on the date of move out after a few visits) it became clear it was time to move on.

During the process several conversations were made with Angelina including being advised that the “lease ends November” as well as the proper forms to submit 30 day notice to end on the 18th. Upon returning the keys on 11/4 it was then brought up by Angelina asking if I was aware that I would be responsible for the full months rent being due because A) verity no longer prorates and B) the rent doesn’t technically expire until the last day of the month. This had never came up in our conversations when discussing move out date with her and when asking Angelina if anything can be done given having the issues that went on for three months, the heat that still didn’t work, and the higher power bill for verity repairs and that I had to be the one who had to clean up the mess including have the carpets shampooed to get the wet wood stains out... I was baffled at her response that “she was unaware I had any issues with the events and repairs.” As though the issues were minor and meaningless.

My roommates and I have been living in the Hilton Street Apartments managed by Verity Property management for almost 2 months. Chris DuVall has been the mediator who has taken care of us from the start. I have to say, I have been quite impressed with his direct communication. Even before we were approved for move in, he was very professional, helpful and patient in answering all of our questions. Upon moving in there were a few maintenance issues that needed delt with. I was astonished by how quickly Chris was on the phone to schedule a plumber and electrician. Furthermore, we regretfully had a small dispute with our neighbors and reported a behavior complaint. Chris was EXTREMELY timely with his resolution of the issue to which my roommates and I were grateful for. While the transition of moving into a new place has had some unexpected occurrences, Chris has been great to work with as he has handled the issues promptly and professionally. In summation, Chris has been a tremendous property manager making our stay at the Hilton Street Apartments very comfortable.
